Valentines Day Feb. 14, 2026: Abigail Fillmore Chapter joined in a friendly competition with Williams Mills Chapter for possession of the Trophy in the 1st Annual Cherry Blossom Bake-off. The required ingredient: cherries! Abigail Fillmore members also wrote messages in Valentines cards delivered to veterans at the Donovan Post, Cheektowaga, NY by chapter regent Amy Lombardo.

Abigail Fillmore Chaplain and Registrar welcome three new members to Abigail Fillmore Chapter, DAR
In June 2024, we celebrated Flag Day at Poplar Hill Estate with a meeting dedicated to Flag facts! It was a beautiful setting for our last chapter meeting before our summer break.
Later in the day, members
attended a patriotic concert at
Cheektowaga Central and gave a short history of the DAR to the assembly - which included several veterans.
We also attended a Buffalo Niagara Honor Flight Welcome Home event which had a great turnout at the airport.
Later in June, several members attended a Naturalization on the USS Little Rock. We met new citizens and gave them small flags and flag code pamphlets.
Abigail Fillmore Chapter kicked off summer by participating in a 4th of July parade in Cheektowaga.
We had a blast!
During the fall of 2025, our Junior Membership Committee sponsored an event to write cards for active Military.
Abigail Fillmore Chapter members joined with others to welcome home the first all female Buffalo-Niagara Honor Flight .
We closed out our 2025 Abigail Fillmore Chapter Event Calendar with our annual meeting and holiday party in December where three new members were welcomed and awards presented.
